"Discovering My Journey: From South Africa to Australia and Beyond
Welcome to my personal website, where I invite you to embark on a journey through the diverse chapters of my life. Born in South Africa to a South African father and Hungarian mother, my roots are a vibrant blend of cultures. My formative years were spent in the dynamic city of Johannesburg, a place that shaped my worldview.

Education and Pursuit of Knowledge
My quest for knowledge led me to St Stithians College, where I laid the foundation for my academic journey. Subsequently, I ventured to the University of the Witwatersrand, delving into the realm of mechanical engineering. It was here that I honed my analytical skills and developed a deep appreciation for the intricate workings of the world around us.

Fueling my thirst for understanding, I pursued a PhD in engineering at the University of Cape Town. This scholarly endeavor was a defining chapter in my life, marked by rigorous research and a commitment to pushing the boundaries of human understanding.

A Fateful Encounter with Australia
While awaiting the evaluation of my PhD, serendipity led me to the shores of Australia. A brief visit intended solely to check off a box on my travel list turned into an epiphany. Sitting in Perth airport after a brilliant 6 week trip, waiting to fly back to South Africa, I was captivated by the allure of this magnificent land. It was then that I made the life-altering decision to pursue a new chapter in a foreign land.

In June 1989, armed with nothing more than a suitcase and a couple of months' worth of funds, I arrived in Australia. Determined to embrace every opportunity, I seized the best job available to me at the time. This bold move marked the beginning of a remarkable journey of personal and professional growth.

Where Culture and Business Converge
My interests lie at the intersection of culture and business, exploring the endless possibilities that arise when these two realms converge. I am deeply passionate about assisting individuals in discovering meaningful work and finding purpose in their professional lives.

I firmly believe that every person should be able to answer three fundamental questions:

- What is my role?
- How am I going?
- Am I valued?

In my philosophy, the two most unwelcome words in life are 'missed opportunity.' I wholeheartedly subscribe to the belief that when someone says, "It can't be done," it is an invitation to prove them wrong. To borrow the words of Thomas Edison, "Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up."
